About the Role:
Redacted or Sanitized sample of a presentation
We're looking for a technically fluent, highly organized professional to serve as a force multiplier for the VP of Engineering. You'll sit at the intersection of technology, product, and leadership: learning the technical landscape well, translating between engineering teams and executives, and making sure leadership has the clarity, materials, and follow-through it needs to move fast.
This isn't a pure project management or business analyst role. It's for someone who is comfortable in a technical architecture discussion in the morning and building a polished executive presentation in the afternoon. Strong deck-building skills are essential.
What You'll Do
- Understand the technical landscape. Build a working knowledge of our systems, architecture, platforms, vendors, and in-flight initiatives so you can provide context and connect dots across teams.
- Build executive presentations. Own the creation of high-quality decks for the CIO and VP of Engineering, including roadmap updates, status reports, strategy reviews, and executive or board briefings. Turn complex technical inputs into clear, well-structured stories that executives can quickly understand and act on.
- Support leadership meetings. Attend engineering, product, and leadership meetings; capture decisions, action items, and risks; and drive follow-up to closur
- Gather and document requirements. Work with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to understand technical and functional requirements, and document them in a structured, accessible way.
- Act as a liaison across teams. Interface with development, product, infrastructure, and security teams to align priorities, clarify dependencies, and keep information flowing between leadership and execution teams.
- Coordinate initiatives. Track cross-functional projects, prepare agendas, manage meeting cadences, and flag blockers or risks early.
- Handle special projects. Take on research, analysis, vendor evaluations, and other initiatives as directed by the CIO's office.
What You Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical role such as business analysis, technical program or project management, solutions consulting, technology consulting, or a software engineering background that has shifted toward coordination and communication.
- Strong deck-building skills. You can take rough notes, data, and technical detail and turn them into a clean, logical, visually polished presentation, often on a tight timeline. Expert-level PowerPoint or Google Slides is required, and work samples will be requested.
- Solid technical literacy: you understand software development lifecycles, cloud and infrastructure concepts, APIs and integrations, and can follow architecture conversations comfortably.
- The ability to turn complex technical information into clear narratives for executive audiences.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working directly with engineering and product teams, ideally in an Agile environment.
- Exceptional organization and follow-through; you're the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and comfort working with senior leaders and confidential information.
- Working proficiency with Confluence or similar documentation tools, and Jira or similar work-tracking tools.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Consulting experience, or other roles where executive-quality slides were a core deliverable.
- Exposure to enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, billing), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), or data and analytics.
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or CBAP.
