Technical Production ManagerThe Technical Production Manager supports all NBCUniversal operations in Washington, DC. This role is responsible for managing studio crews to execute daily programming while overseeing day-to-day technical and operational functions.ResponsibilitiesOversee studio and control room production, ensuring performance standards are consistently metPartner with scheduling to ensure appropriate crew staffing and coverageCollaborate with the News Desk, booking teams, and transmission to ensure successful execution of live remotesLiaise with NBCUniversal operations and executive leadershipOversee facilities, IT, and maintenance services for assigned studios and control rooms during on-air operationsManage internal customer relationships across NBCUniversal brands, balancing creative needs with strong operational executionDevelop and motivate crews, establishing clear standards and expectations for broadcast excellenceExecute business strategies and cost initiatives while maintaining daily operationsLead operations during breaking and unplanned news eventsImplement a unified operational strategy across NBCUniversal show unitsEnsure compliance with NBCUniversal Standards and Practices, as well as Integrity, Health, and Safety policiesRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in live or studio television productionMinimum 2 years of experience in a news environmentMinimum 2 years of engineering support and operational experience in broadcast studios and control roomsExperience with modern broadcast workflows, including IP-based contribution, distributed production, and emerging production technologiesStrong background in on-air operations and broadcast technologyDeep working knowledge of control room, studio, and production systemsProven technical troubleshooting and decision-making skills in fast-paced live environmentsExperience with production workflows, systems integration, and equipment managementProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Demonstrated management experience with a customer-focused approachAbility to work all shifts, including days, overnights, weekends, and holidaysDesired CharacteristicsStrong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skillsStrong administrative, organizational, and prioritization abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholdersExperience working with both represented and non-represented staffSkilled in team facilitation and structured problem-solving techniquesAbility to lead change and drive continuous process improvementExperience with budget management and resource allocationStrong cross-functional collaboration and vendor management skillsExperience in risk assessment and contingency planning for live productionEligibility RequirementsInterested candidates must submit a resume/CV through to be consideredMust be willing to work in Washington, DCMust be willing to travel on short notice for extended periods, including overnights, weekends, holidays, and overtimeMust have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United StatesMust be 18 years or olderAdditional InformationRequired On-Site : This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary: $120,000 - $155,000
