Technical Product Manager TechnologyThis is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong project management skills to grow their career by contributing to a talented tech company as we grow and scale. You have to be able to understand the obstacles the tech team faces and be able to communicate these issues to other stakeholders, and find workable solutions to overcome these problems and help the team to meet their deliverables.
This position will report to the Senior Technical Product Manager.The RoleOwning the execution and delivery of specific features on the technical roadmapDeveloping project plans with milestones, delivery timelines, dependencies, and contingency plans, while keeping with our agile development approachRecommending and taking action to direct the analysis of and solution to problemsProviding visibility to team impediments/risks and helping to eliminate themWorking as a link between Product Management and EngineeringInfluencing, problem-solving, and resolving conflicts with other internal business functions including Tech, Operations, and MarketingProviding regular project status updates internally and with our partnersYour Experience3+ years managing complex, cross-organizational, multi-stakeholder projects using Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodologiesExperience working in Engineering, Software Development, or other complex technical project domainExperience in financial services (preferably fintech)Must Have SkillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with both technical and business audiencesDemonstrated ability to think creatively and independently to solve problems and complete projectsUnderstanding of product-based solution deliveryGreat organizational skills and impeccable attention to detailFacilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to work with large groups of varying levels of seniority, from user to C levelProven ability to learn quickly and apply new skills in a productive mannerExceptional communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment without close supervisionResilience and dedication - you are not a quitterYour Nice to Have SkillsKnowledge of a programming languageFamiliarity with financial software, banking or payment systemsFamiliarity with Web or SaaS productsUnderstanding of the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web applicationsYour QualificationsBachelor's Degree in any technical discipline; Computer Science could be a plusAccreditations in project management methodologies would be beneficialYour LocationChicago, IL
