Technical Policy Analyst/WriterPosition: Technical Policy Analyst/WriterLocation: Woodlawn, MDDuration: Long Term ContractDuties and Responsibilities:Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals and create templates if none are provided by the organizationReview and evaluate policies and legislation to determine the benefits and impact of any changes that may occur. This involves identifying positive elements as well as any flaws to the legalities of a particular policy.Gather and report on both quantitative and qualitative data, analyzing it for any trends or important information that may be useful in formulating new policies.Research, develop and document technical design, requirements and test documentsFormulate reports which condense and summarize information and display key evidence for stakeholders to review.Maintain a comprehensive list of acronyms to be used in documentation, analyze documents to maintain continuity of style and content and manage updates and revisions to technical documentsAdhere to best practices and established processes using Confluence and JiraAssist with implementation best practices and ongoing development of Confluence pages.Required qualifications:BS/BA Degree and 7+ years of experience OR Master's degree and 3+ years of experienceAbility to write in explanatory and procedural styles for technical and non-technical audiences and be skilled at prioritization and multi-taskingAbility to document technical software systems, including Data AnalyticsCaptures meeting minutes/notes and distributes electronically as required.Experience with Confluence and JiraAssist with implementation best practices and ongoing development of Confluence pages.Strong proficiency with MS Office applications, have excellent grammar skills and a strong attention to detail.
