Technical Operations SupervisorAt Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we create memories worth repeating! The ideal Technical Operations Supervisor will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.This role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the technical elements for all projects for the Entertainment Division.Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.Summary of Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to onsite Technical Operations Team across the campus by understanding, supporting, and enforcing policies, procedures, and management decisionsOversee the installation and operation of all technical aspects supporting live production shows, special events, concerts, and contracted actsSupport the team by overseeing hiring and being a responsive and positive leader in all aspects of daily operationsMaintain inventory control of Dollywood equipment and supplies for all Entertainment venuesEnsure cleanliness and organization standards by maintaining cleaning procedures across all assigned venuesImplementation and planning for Warehouse clean out along with a quarterly assessment of items/spaceDevelop, support, initiate and/or provide training for a variety of equipment and operations including, but not limited to: lighting consoles, audio consoles, projectors, computer/control systems, follow spots, rigging, counterweight systems, fog/haze/snow machines, etc.Oversee routine maintenance and inspection procedures and perform regular audits to ensure all standards are being met or exceededProvide technical expertise in both hands-on and supervisory situations, which ensures a high-quality entertainment experience for Park Guests and team operational/procedural cohesionProvide planning, development, coordination, and implementation assistance and support as directed for all new or existing shows and activationsInitiate and/or provide training and awareness of Safety procedures and policiesEnsure safety compliance across all facets and locations of Technical Operations by completing regular audits of paperwork, training, operations, and Immediately report, correct, and re-train as needed Serve as a point of contact to vendors as neededSupervise departmental purchasing for technical support/equipment and departmental capital expenditures in conjunction with Technical Operations Specialist and Entertainment ManagerRepresent Entertainment as PIC and Safety TrainerSet the standards for a culture of excellence and teamwork by defining clear goals, proper planning, ensuring follow-through and accountabilityEnsure efficiency of operation and excellence in execution across all teams through continued improvement of training, procedures, and operationsEducation and Experience RequiredMinimum 18 years of ageAdvanced education from a college or Certificate from a Technical school in a related fieldA minimum of 5 years' experience required, which demonstrates the successful execution of similar duties and responsibilities in a live show environmentExcellent computer Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office programs and have some level of competence in the use of CAD softwareExcellent working knowledge of theatrical equipment at all levels of complexity, including installation and operationPrevious experience operating, programming, and troubleshooting technical equipmentMust successfully complete a background check including motor vehicle and pre-employment drugAbility to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy.
