The product provides centralized, secure services and user-facing tools that support standardized access request workflows and the consistent delivery of authorization context for NIH controlled-access data repositories (CADRs).As a Technical Lead, you will manage and participate in the development efforts supporting the goals and initiatives of the product team and organization. This role will work to define development tasks, ensure delivery schedules and timelines are met, and ensure compliance with the organizations policies and procedures.

This opportunity is full-time with BCC and it is on-site in Bethesda/Rockville, Maryland.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage the efforts of the product's software development team in an Agile frameworkProvide work estimates for development tasksEnsure on-schedule delivery of software solutions for the product line and organizationManage the development lifecycle of software for assigned productsResearch new technologies in pursuit of advancing the goals of the product lineDirect and coordinate the actions of the development teamProvide technical leadership and guidance to the development teamAct as a liaison between the development team and program leadershipCreate and maintain technical documentation related to the product lineEnsure high code quality for software development tasksRequirements:Software development experience in a Linux environment (5+ Years)Experience working with Cloud data storage and processing platforms (AWS, GCP)Proficiency with Django in a DevOps environmentStrong proficiency in PythonProficiency working with MS SQL and Postgres databasesAbility to work with common structured documents (XML, JSON, CSV)Experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit tests, integration, and regression testingStrong presentation and collaboration skillsExperience coaching team membersQualificationsA proven track record of managing an Agile software development teamExperience working with highly available, high traffic web applicationsThe ability to translate business requirements into executable software development tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBenefits and SalaryWe attract the best people in the business with our competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k plan with employer contribution, paid holidays, vacation, and tuition reimbursement.We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and location.
