Role Description The Technical Design Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This role oversees the end-to-end technical design process, ensuring garments meet fit, construction, and quality standards from concept through production. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing design concepts, developing detailed technical packages, managing fit sessions, and providing clear construction and measurement guidance to internal teams and external vendors. The Technical Design Manager collaborates with design, product development, and production to solve construction issues, track project timelines, and maintain consistency across styles and categories. This role also leads and mentors the technical design team, implements process improvements, and supports cross-functional communication to keep projects on schedule and within quality and cost targets.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Design and Garment Construction to ensure accurate fit, specifications, and quality standards.
• Candidates should possess skills in Design Management and Project Management to lead technical design workflows, meet deadlines, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Candidates should possess skills in Product Development to support the translation of design concepts into production-ready styles and resolve technical issues with vendors.
• Candidates should have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design, production, and external partners.
• Candidates should demonstrate advanced proficiency with technical design tools and software (e.g., CAD, PLM systems, digital pattern tools).
• Candidates should have proven experience in apparel or fashion, typically 5+ years in technical design or related fields, including team leadership responsibilities.
• Candidates should hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Product Development, or a related discipline.
