Job Description
Machinery Manufacturer - Technical Assembly, Setup & Support Role
(Great opportunity for someone with a mechanical and/or electrical foundation who wants to grow)
We're looking for a hands-on technical person who enjoys building, setting up, and supporting industrial machinery. If you have solid mechanical or electrical skills (or a mix of both) and want to expand into automation, controls, troubleshooting, and customer support, this is a strong fit. You'll work alongside experienced team members who will help you develop the deeper skills needed for the role.
What you'll do:
* Assemble and wire electrical panels and complete mechanical/electrical machine builds
* Read and work from assembly drawings, electrical schematics, wire lists, and pneumatic diagrams
* Perform machine startup, setup, and runoff testing before shipment
* Provide technical support both remotely (by phone) and on-site at customer locations (travel required)
* Train end users on the equipment at their facilities
* Document service work and help with replacement parts for existing customers
* Contribute to the team by taking on related tasks as needed
What you'll learn and grow into:
* Practical troubleshooting and critical thinking across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
* Automation and controls concepts (PLC experience is a big plus, but we can help you develop it)
* Customer-facing technical support and service skills
* Full machine commissioning and end-user training
We're looking for someone who:
* Has a mechanical and/or electrical background or related hands-on experience
* Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in quality work, even when juggling multiple tasks
* Is comfortable reading technical drawings and schematics (or eager to get stronger at it)
* Works well in a team manufacturing environment
* Has a service-minded personality and enjoys helping customers solve problems
* Is willing to travel for on-site training and support
Strong pluses (not required):
* Prior machinery, automation, or controls experience
* Any PLC or programming exposure
* Technical sales or service background
If you have the core skills and the drive to learn and grow in a real manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you. This role offers hands-on experience across the full process—from assembly and wiring through startup, training, and ongoing support. Company Description
We are a manufacturing company in the business of designing and building machinery since 1969.
If you like working in a fast paced, interesting environment and have the knowledge / ability to help, we are interested and looking forward to hearing from you!
