Technical Architect
On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Technical Architect for a contract opportunity in Bellevue WA.
Provide strategy and implementation services that enable Operations to achieve substantial cost reduction and business agility benefits through the use of DevOps and continuous delivery processes. Responsible for technical leadership and delivery in DevOps consulting engagements. The engineer assists in the development of enterprise DevOps strategies and leads parts of all automated application build and deployment processes. Build out common services that every application can use and consume to monitor, visualize and diagnose their applications and infrastructure. Work with the IT Development and other IT team members to refine and clarify requirements for development process automation.
Mandatory Skills
- Must have strong problem solving abilities, be able to work both at high and low levels of detail, have excellent communication skills and have experience successfully leading implementation teams.
- BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years software/computer engineering experience.
- Experience with system administration of Windows and Linux servers including shell scripting.
- Experience developing automation workflows/routines using industry leading tools – Chef & Rundeck.
- Experience architecting and building solutions leveraging DevOps tools such as Chef, Rundeck, and Git, etc.
- Experience with Chef (open source and Enterprise) in implementation and configuration. Experience with cloud platforms including: AWS, CenturyLink, etc.
