This position will serve as a key technical resource for ASC 606 revenue recognition, providing guidance on complex transactions, contract structures, accounting conclusions, and financial reporting matters.The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise and can operate independently while partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical accounting analysis for complex revenue arrangements under ASC 606Review contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatmentResearch complex accounting matters and develop well-supported accounting conclusionsPrepare and review technical accounting memorandaEvaluate performance obligations, transaction price, variable consideration, contract modifications, and other ASC 606 considerationsProvide technical guidance to accounting and finance teams on revenue-related mattersSupport month-end, quarter-end, and financial reporting activities related to revenueReview revenue-related accounting entries, reconciliations, disclosures, and supporting schedulesPartner with legal, finance, operations, and other stakeholders to evaluate accounting implications of contractual arrangementsServe as a key resource for internal and external auditorsStrengthen revenue recognition policies, procedures, documentation, and internal controlsIdentify opportunities to improve and scale technical accounting processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field7 years of progressive accounting experienceSignificant ASC 606 and technical revenue recognition experienceStrong U.S. GAAP technical accounting knowledgeExperience researching and documenting complex accounting conclusionsAbility to interpret complex contracts and translate terms into appropriate accounting treatmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholdersPreferred ExperienceCPA strongly preferredBig 4 or national public accounting experienceExperience within a large, complex, or high-growth organizationExperience with sophisticated or non-standard customer contracts and revenue arrangementsPrior experience leading technical accounting projects or serving as a subject matter expertWhat stands out about both opportunities: substantial ASC 606 exposure, highly visible technical accounting work, and a defined 6-month engagement with a consistent hybrid schedule.By submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions.
