Technical Account Manager
Reports to: VP of Customer Experience
Location: Remote, US, Eastern or Central time zone
About the Role
Most SaaS companies split the customer lifecycle across teams. Customers meet one person during onboarding and someone else in customer success, and every handoff loses context and trust. We do it differently.
At CorralData, the person who onboards a customer owns that relationship for as long as they're a customer. You're their guide, not a vendor. The customer holds the wheel, and your job is to help them get where they're going.
AI now handles a lot of the technical work that used to need a specialist. What it can't do is sit across from a customer, explain what the data means, and catch it when the answer rests on a bad assumption. That's this job. We don't need a technician. We need someone who can tell the story technically and knows when the story is wrong.
You'll own a portfolio of accounts from onboarding through renewal. On any given day you're onboarding one customer, deepening the relationship with another, and growing a third.
About CorralData
CorralData is a HIPAA-compliant AI analytics platform. We connect 600+ data sources, including EMRs, CRMs, ad platforms, POS and billing systems, so customers can ask questions in plain English through our AI agent, AskCorral, and get answers, dashboards and recommendations in minutes, without building a traditional data stack. Our customers are in medspa and aesthetics, dental, behavioral health, plastic surgery, private equity and retail.
We're a remote team, and most of us have worked together before and chose to do it again. We're nearly cash-flow positive and hire off our own revenue, not the next funding round.
What You'll Do
Lead onboarding
- Configure customer accounts, data connectors and pipelines, working with engineering as needed
- Validate data end-to-end before go-live
- Use CorralData's AI to model datasets and build reporting tied to each customer's KPIs, then check its assumptions before anything reaches the customer
- Train customers so they launch confident and self-sufficient
- Get every new customer live within 30 days
Drive adoption and value
- Keep every account on a steady cadence: weekly written updates, monthly live calls, recaps within 24 hours
- Bring something new to each monthly call: a data app, a training session, or an insight they didn't ask for
- Answer customer questions and troubleshoot within 1 business day
- Spot underused features and show customers how to get more from the platform
Manage delivery
- Track projects across your portfolio and flag dates before they slip
- Work with engineering, product and support to scope and deliver new integrations and features
- Communicate early when timelines shift or dependencies come up
Drive growth
- Own Net Revenue Retention (NRR) for your accounts
- Find and develop expansion across teams, locations and use cases
- Log expansion signals as you hear them and build on successful rollouts to drive renewals
What Success Looks Like
- Customers launch within 30 days and hit a first measurable win in production
- Customers use their data to make real decisions, and adoption grows over time
- Every account hears from you at least monthly and never has to chase you for status
- Your accounts are engaged, expanding and renewing, and NRR stays above target
How We Work
We keep ego low and expectations high. You'll get real autonomy and own outcomes, not paperwork. The three things we care about most:
- Curiosity. You ask "why do you think that?" of customers and of the AI, and you dig a level deeper until the answer holds up
- Ownership. You genuinely care how your customers do, take pride in your work and get things across the finish line
- Organization. You run a full portfolio without dropping threads, and nobody has to chase you
We also look for people who create clarity in ambiguous situations, want feedback and use it, and are kind and low-drama.
Must-Haves
- 5+ years in a customer-facing SaaS role, managing multiple accounts at once on a steady weekly cadence
- Strong communication with technical and non-technical people: you can explain how the technology works in plain English and turn vague business questions into concrete data requirements
- Daily, hands-on use of AI tools in your work, plus the judgment to question their output and spot when they're making assumptions
- Working knowledge of common business and marketing KPIs (revenue, retention, conversion funnels, acquisition costs), enough to talk credibly with clients about their own data
- Experience with BI dashboards (Tableau, Looker, Power BI or similar)
- Strong QA judgment: you spot numbers that look wrong, trace them to the source, and validate before anything reaches a client
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with healthcare, medspa, aesthetics or dental data (EMRs, practice management, billing)
- Familiarity with ETL or pipeline tools such as Fivetran or Airbyte
- Familiarity with common data sources like GA4, CRMs and paid media platforms
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $120,000
- Bonus target: $40,000/year, paid quarterly ($10,000 a quarter)
- OTE: $160,000
- Paid health, dental and vision, with an optional upgraded tier
- Unlimited PTO, plus the company closes between Christmas and New Year's
- 401k and life insurance
- Fully remote (US, Eastern or Central time zone)
