Mobile X-Ray and EKG Technician
Provides mobile X-ray and EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other clinical sites, ensuring the delivery of diagnostically-quality images and data. Operates portable radiography equipment while maintaining safety and professionalism in diverse settings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and process X-rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and transmit images for radiologist interpretation.
- Unload and transport portable X-ray equipment to facility locations, ensuring proper setup for diagnostic exams.
- Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent X-ray images based on physician orders.
- Perform EKGs (if required) and transmit results to Cardiologists for interpretation.
- Maintain and operate radiology equipment and vehicle, adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, peers, and clients regarding scheduling and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Hold valid ARRT certification and applicable State licenses.
- Possess a valid driver's license in current good standing.
- Demonstrate ability to perform diagnostic radiography and EKG procedures accurately.
- Meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50-100 lbs with assistance.
- Maintain compliance with health requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination or exemption documentation.
