Job Summary:
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to assist in patient diagnosis. Ensure high-quality imaging services while maintaining safety and adherence to protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate X-ray and radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Follow safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure proper patient care and imaging quality.
- Possess at least one (1) year of experience as a General Radiographer.
- Complete an approved Radiologic Technologist training program, including military training if applicable.
- Hold current certification and registration as a Radiology Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Maintain a valid radiologic technologist license issued by the NYSDOH.
- BLS certification preferred.
