Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Surgical Technologists to join a cardiovascular operating room team. Candidates must be skilled in cardiac surgeries and prepared to support complex surgical procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical equipment and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons during cardiac and thoracic surgeries, including bypass, valve replacements, and ECMO procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgeries and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Educate and support staff on surgical protocols and safety standards.
- Document surgical procedures accurately within hospital systems.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, guidelines, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid NH license or a valid COMPACT state license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Proficient in scrubbing cardiac cases, utilizing advanced surgical equipment, and supporting open thoracotomy, VATS, and ECMO procedures.
- Ability to take call and work scheduled hours including weekends if required.
