Surgical Technologist Position
Seeking experienced Surgical Technologists to join a hospital team supporting a variety of surgical procedures. The role involves independent work, precepting, and providing high-quality surgical assistance across multiple specialties.
Responsibilities:
- Perform surgical technologist duties by preparing and sterilizing instruments and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Precept and mentor new staff or students as required.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and supplies used.
- Verify references and credentials, including supervisory references.
- Adhere to all facility protocols, dress code, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Current NBSTSA Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST), valid within one year.
- Minimum of 5 years of current CST experience in general, Gyn, vascular, thoracic, ortho, neuro/head/spine, and trauma.
- Proven ability to work independently and take call.
- Must possess own vehicle; travel experience required.
- Must provide two recent supervisory signed references within the past two years.
- Active BLS from the American Heart Association.
