Certified First Assistant Or Certified Surgical Tech
Seeking a Certified First Assistant OR Certified Surgical Tech to support surgical procedures within a critical access facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and flexibility to adapt to fluctuating schedules and case types.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies for surgical cases.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by maintaining sterile technique and passing instruments.
- Ensure all surgical equipment and tools are properly maintained and accounted for.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
- Document surgical procedures accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Support preoperative and postoperative patient care as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid CST or NCCT certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical experience, preferably with travel background.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to work flexibly, including every third night and weekend shifts.
- Epic experience preferred with at least 1 year in use.
- Must have or be in process of obtaining Washington state license and comply with travel requirements.
