Job Summary:
Provide surgical assistance as a Surgical Tech in a busy operating room to ensure efficient and smooth surgical procedures. Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain a sterile environment and support patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment according to protocol.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures, ensuring all supplies are sterile and available.
- Handle and organize surgical instruments, sponges, and other supplies throughout procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards.
- Support post-operative cleanup and sterilization of instruments and operating room areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow and patient care.
Qualifications:
- Hold current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
- Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in a surgical setting.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR systems.
- Be experienced in various surgical procedures, including neuro, transplants, orthopedics, and spine.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Maintain flexibility to work day and evening shifts as needed.
