Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide specialized surgical support in the Pediatric CVOR unit, assisting with high-acuity cardiac procedures for pediatric patients. Ensure adherence to safety standards and supports a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical teams during pediatric open-heart surgeries and other CVOR procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments and equipment.
• Support anesthesia and nursing staff in preoperative and postoperative patient care.
• Follow unit policies for infection control and patient safety during procedures.
• Document clinical activities accurately within the EMR system.
• Respond to on-call and after-hours needs as required, including weekends.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Certified Surgical Tech (CST) credential.
• Possess at least 1 year of current CVOR surgical experience.
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in high-stress, critical care environments.
• Have Pediatric CVOR experience, with adult CVOR experience preferred.
• Maintain knowledge of pediatric cardiac surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
