Tech Surgical

Job Summary:
Responsible for coordinating all operating room surgeries and procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication among clinical teams. Monitors front office operations, verifies patient demographics, and obtains necessary pre-certifications and medical clearances. Acts as a liaison between referring physicians, surgeons, patients, and insurance carriers to facilitate timely scheduling and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate surgery schedules and manage OR booking processes to optimize operational efficiency.
• Verify patient information, insurance details, and obtain pre-certifications for planned procedures.
• Confirm patient medical clearance and ensure all necessary documentation is on file prior to surgery.
• Communicate with patients regarding policies, procedures, and appointment details; address any concerns or questions.
• Schedule post-operative follow-up visits and ensure proper documentation in the hospital system.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate scheduling, clinical data transfer, and communication.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in surgical scheduling or related healthcare role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and coordination.
• High School diploma required; Associates Degree preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and coordinate with various departments.
