Surgical CST (CVOR) Opportunity
Provide specialized surgical support as a CST (CVOR) in a busy Level II Trauma Center. Deliver high-quality patient care by assisting with complex cardiovascular surgeries, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring optimal operating room functioning.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgical teams with CVOR procedures including CABG, valves, ablations, and TAVR backup.
- Prepare and set up necessary surgical equipment, including level 1 rapid infuser and cell saver.
- Maintain sterile field and support surgical team during procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to unit policies and safety protocols, including specific scrub colors and equipment standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and providers to support seamless operations.
- Document procedures accurately in the EMR system (Meditech).
Qualifications:
- Valid CST certification with at least 1 year of CVOR experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in CABG, valve surgeries, ablations, and assistance with line placements.
- Ability to set up and operate CVOR equipment including rapid infuser and cell saver.
- Flexible, open communicator with a team-oriented attitude.
- Experience working in a fast-paced surgical environment is preferred.
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.
