Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to accurately draw blood from inpatients and outpatients in an acute care hospital setting. The role requires proficient handling of specimens and adherence to strict safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Collect blood samples from patients following established protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain proper identification and labeling of specimens to ensure accuracy.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and standard precautions during all clinical tasks.
  • Document all procedures accurately within the hospital's electronic health records system.
  • Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous materials and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Current CPT and BLS/CA phlebotomy certification required.
  • Valid CA Phlebotomy license must be current and uploaded.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work evening shifts (5x8.5 hours, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM).
  • Demonstrated compliance with travel and hospital policies.
