Job Description
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or healthcare professional, provides essential clerical and clinical support in a medical setting. Performs patient care tasks, testing, and documentation to support healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities:

• Conducts vital sign assessments, weighs and measures patients, and records findings accurately.
• Instructs patients on specimen collection procedures and performs basic screening tests, including dipstick and hemoccult.
• Prepares specimens for lab pick-up by labeling and completing required documentation; retrieves lab results promptly.
• Performs vision, hearing, and urinalysis testing, ensuring accurate results.
• Administers emergency first aid and basic life support in urgent situations.
• Assists medical providers during examinations by preparing supplies and maintaining a sterile environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a healthcare setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited Phlebotomy and EKG/ECG training programs with practical application.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and team members effectively.
• Ability to handle specimen collection, testing, and basic clinical procedures accurately.
