Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Performs general nuclear medicine examinations, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient scans in an acute care hospital environment. Responsible for quality control, patient positioning, and accurate documentation to support diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct nuclear medicine exams and therapeutic procedures following established protocols.
- Assist radiologists and medical staff during imaging procedures to ensure optimal results.
- Perform quality control measures on imaging equipment to maintain compliance and accuracy.
- Document all patient information, exam details, and radioactive materials management accurately.
- Verify orders and health information to ensure timely and correct procedure execution.
- Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance for radioactive materials handling.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited allied health program or equivalent.
- ARRT certification in nuclear medicine or NMTCB certification required.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one (1) year post-graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively under stress.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
