Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled MRI Tech to perform advanced imaging procedures using state-of-the-art GE technology. The role involves working within a busy hospital environment, ensuring high-quality diagnostics while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality MRI scans on neurological, musculoskeletal, vascular, and other specialized areas.
- Explain procedures to patients and their families, ensuring clear communication and comfort.
- Prepare and administer contrast media, start peripheral IVs, and follow infection control protocols.
- Operate MRI equipment including GE machinery, PACS, and medication systems while adhering to safety standards.
- Float within skillset across different hospital campuses as needed, maintaining flexibility and professionalism.
- Complete accurate charting using Cerner PowerChart and document procedures per facility policies.
- Hold a minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience.
- Possess BLS certification; ARRT(MR) and ARRT(R) certifications preferred.
- Be licensed in NJ or eligible for licensing; demonstrate strong technical and critical thinking skills.
- Capable of explaining clinical and technical procedures clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation, and participate in on-call duties every third week.
