MRI Technologist

This position is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures using specialized equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. The technologist applies technical expertise and judgment to ensure patient safety and optimal imaging outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts MRI imaging procedures with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Positions patients and coils to optimize image quality.
• Educates patients about the procedures, explaining the process, areas imaged, and any necessary instructions.
• Reviews patient safety questionnaires prior to entering the MRI scan room.
• Labels and evaluates images for technical quality, ensuring timely transmission to PACS.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of MRI room and equipment before and after shifts.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Holds a valid New York State License (L.R.T) and ARRT certification.
• Possesses strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physics, and physiology.
• Demonstrates at least two years of experience in MRI.
• Exhibits excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and patient care abilities.
