Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis. This role involves operating MRI equipment with precision to produce high-quality images for physician review.

Responsibilities:

n
• Operate MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients’ anatomical areas.n
• Follow established protocols to ensure safety and accuracy during imaging procedures.n
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and ensure their comfort.n
• Maintain proper documentation of each imaging session and equipment logs.n
• Adhere to all regulatory standards and facility policies regarding radiologic procedures.n
• Assist in the maintenance and calibration of MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current New York State License to practice as an MRI Technologist.n
• Possess a minimum of 1-2 years of experience performing MRI scans.n
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.n
• Be proficient in operating MRI machinery and adhering to safety standards.n
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and patient care skills.n
• Certifications such as AHA BLS and ARRT licensure are required.
