Job Summary:
Provide specialized reprocessing of surgical instruments within a healthcare facility, ensuring compliance with infection control standards. This role involves maintaining a sterile environment and supporting clinical teams during procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Reprocess surgical instruments following established sterilization protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance.
- Prepare sterilized instruments for surgical procedures, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Adhere to facility safety and infection control policies at all times.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to meet schedule requirements and ensure instrument availability.
Qualifications:
- Hold an HSPA certification or equivalent.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical instrument reprocessing.
- Demonstrate proficiency with sterilization equipment and procedures.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
- Ability to work a night shift schedule (11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday).
- Willing to work major holidays and one minor holiday per scheduling requirements.
