Job Summary
Performs mammographic procedures, including diagnostic imaging, biopsies, and interventions, ensuring adherence to industry standards and patient safety guidelines. Demonstrates expertise in breast imaging to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammographic examinations, stereotactic biopsies, and breast interventions with precision and attention to detail.
- Review patient records to ensure completeness and accuracy before procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols, including universal precautions and ALARA principles.
- Maintain proficiency with departmental equipment and computer systems such as Epic and PACS.
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members and students.
- Ensure compliance with MQSA standards and maintain all relevant licenses and certifications.
Qualifications
- Valid NJ DEP X-ray license and ARRT certification in Mammography.
- Minimum of one year of mammography experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Epic, Sectra PACS, and knowledge of breast imaging procedures.
- Up-to-date BLS certification and current mammography CE credits (15 hours).
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and ability to work in a high-volume team environment.
- Graduate of an NJDEP-approved radiography program.
