Mammography Technologist
Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures to ensure high-quality imaging for breast assessments. Demonstrate technical proficiency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors to produce accurate diagnostic images.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screening and diagnostic mammography examinations following established protocols.
- Demonstrate expertise in positioning, compression, and technique adjustments to optimize image quality.
- Label all radiographic images accurately according to departmental SOPs.
- Evaluate images for technical acceptability and transmit them promptly to PACS.
- Complete all studies within the designated system, ensuring accurate documentation in IDX.
- Record patient tracking information precisely within the tracking system.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid New York State License of Diagnostic Radiography.
- Be registered with the ARRT.
- Maintain compliance with MQSA requirements.
- Demonstrate proficiency in mammography procedures and positioning.
- Show ability to evaluate image quality and ensure timely transmission.
- Bring relevant experience in screening and diagnostic mammography.
