Tech Lead Clojure Developer
Location: Chicago or Remote but need to work US Central time zone.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Tech Lead – Clojure Developer to join our LendTech team supporting Guaranteed Rate. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 3–5 years in Clojure development. This role requires strong technical leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development efforts using Clojure and ClojureScript
- Work independently on assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, leadership, and team members
- Communicate project status, risks, and task progress to leadership and clients regularly
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices
- Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and documentation
Mandatory Skills:
- Clojure Development (3–5 years minimum)
- Strong Full Stack Development experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Proven understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Desirable Skills:
- ClojureScript
- Experience in Microsoft.NET Core & Full Stack Development is a plus
