Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced First Assist professional to support surgical teams in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves providing advanced assistance during various surgical procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with surgeons to prepare and assist during orthopedic trauma, neuro, spine, gynecological, vascular, and general surgeries.
- Utilize advanced surgical skills with robotic systems and other specialized equipment.
- Maintain sterile techniques and ensure compliance with OR protocols and safety standards.
- Document perioperative activities accurately in the Cerner system.
- Adapt to flexible scheduling and call requirements to meet unit needs.
- Support unit staff and contribute to a positive patient and team experience.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), First Assist (FA), or RNFA credential.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent surgical assisting experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in assisting with orthopedic trauma, neuro, spine, GYN, vascular, and robotics surgeries.
- Be licensed or credentialed per state regulations if applicable.
- Show strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Be adaptable to a dynamic, diverse surgical environment.
