Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in a fast-paced, busy department. The ideal candidate will operate advanced imaging equipment independently and efficiently, providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including OB, breast, vascular, abdomen, GYN, and DVT studies, adhering to departmental protocols.
- Operate ultrasound equipment independently, ensuring optimal imaging quality in a high-volume environment.
- Accurately document examination findings and maintain detailed patient records within EPIC or equivalent systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support diagnostic processes.
- Maintain proficiency in using specialized equipment such as Samsung ultrasound systems and Doppler functions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and infection control standards.
- Hold ARDMS certification and current BLS certification.
- Possess at least 1 year of recent ultrasound technologist experience, including OB, vascular, and general abdominal imaging.
- Be able to scan independently in a fast-paced setting and demonstrate technical proficiency.
- Hold a current NY state license or appropriate licensing as required.
- Have experience with EPIC electronic medical records systems.
- Demonstrate flexibility to float and adapt to various shifts and patient needs.
