Job Summary:
The Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiograms, fetal echocardiograms, and other cardiac imaging procedures. This role requires proficiency in pediatric and fetal echocardiography, working independently to deliver high-quality imaging services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms, fetal echocardiograms, and other diagnostic cardiac studies according to protocol.
- Ensure equipment calibration and maintenance to guarantee optimal imaging quality.
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedures and findings.
- Collaborate with medical teams to interpret results and assist in diagnoses.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including certification requirements and compliance standards.
- Float within the sonography team based on patient acuity and staffing needs.
- Hold a valid NJ or Compact license at the time of submission.
- Possess at least 1 year of pediatric echocardiography experience.
- Be proficient in fetal echocardiograms, with preferred fetal echo experience.
- Certification in BLS is required.
- ARDMS RDCS, FE, or CCI RCCS credential preferred.
- Ability to work independently and handle diagnostic procedures efficiently.
- Engage in ongoing training modules, including EPIC and specialized sonography courses.
