Echocardiography Sonographer Opportunity

Perform high-quality adult echocardiography procedures in a premier cardiac center, ensuring patient comfort and accurate imaging. The sonographer is responsible for preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, and reviewing prior reports to deliver comprehensive diagnostic data.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures clearly to promote comfort and cooperation.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform adult echo studies according to established guidelines.
• Review prior reports, images, and patient charts to ensure comprehensive and accurate studies.
• Ensure quality control by obtaining complete, properly-angled images and notifying readers of any abnormalities.
• Maintain detailed records and logs of performed exams, and monitor inventory and supplies for the department.
• Perform related duties as assigned to support departmental efficiency and patient care.

Qualifications:

• Certified Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI credentials, specializing in adult echocardiography.
• Minimum of 200 inpatient echocardiography cases documented through institutional referral.
• Proficient in valvular assessments using spectral Doppler and Pedoff techniques.
• Experienced with contrast echocardiography and saline studies.
• Ability to work independently, identify abnormalities, and respond promptly to critical findings.
