Tech - Dietitian

Job Description
Job Summary:
Monitors patients' nutritional status and provides education on food and drug interactions. Collaborates with physicians to recommend appropriate diet modifications and records patient educational interactions.
Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' nutritional needs and status through screening and comprehensive evaluation.
• Interview patients and families to gather dietary histories and preferences.
• Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data relevant to nutrition care.
• Educate patients on nutrition, document diet plans, and verify their understanding.
• Adjust patient menus based on individual dietary requirements and medical guidance.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of one (1) year of nutrition or dietetic experience; two (2) years preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition.
• Hold valid New York State Certification as a Dietitian-Nutritionist for post-acute settings or registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian for acute locations.
• AHA BLS certification is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, communication, and educational skills.
