Tech Dietitian

n Job Summary:n
n Monitors patients' nutritional status and provides education on food and drug interactions. Collaborates with physicians to recommend appropriate diet modifications and records patient educational interactions.n

n Responsibilities:n

• n Assess patients' nutritional needs and status through screening and comprehensive evaluation.n
• n Interview patients and families to gather dietary histories and preferences.n
• n Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data relevant to nutrition care.n
• n Educate patients on nutrition, document diet plans, and verify their understanding.n
• n Adjust patient menus based on individual dietary requirements and medical guidance.n

n Qualifications:n

• n Possess a minimum of one (1) year of nutrition or dietetic experience; two (2) years preferred.n
• n Graduate from an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition.n
• n Hold valid New York State Certification as a Dietitian-Nutritionist for post-acute settings or registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian for acute locations.n
• n AHA BLS certification is preferred.n
• n Demonstrate strong assessment, communication, and educational skills.n
