CT Technologist
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes. Assesses, plans, and executes imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and data integrity. Collaborates with medical staff to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT imaging equipment to acquire high-quality cross-sectional images.
- Prepare patients for scans, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality assurance checks.
- Use PACS and teleradiology systems to accurately transfer images and data.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient records, and billing information.
- Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality regulations to protect patient information.
Qualifications:
- Obtain an associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Hold current ARRT registration in Radiography and Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT).
- Have valid state-specific fluoroscopy license (preferred in some states).
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.
- Demonstrate experience with PACS, teleradiology, and image processing.
- Prefer additional certifications or licenses in venipuncture and advanced modalities.
