Job Summary:
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues. Supports additional imaging procedures such as general radiography and fluoroscopy, ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate imaging results.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT equipment to produce high-resolution cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes.
- Perform a variety of imaging procedures including radiography and fluoroscopy as needed.
- Assess, plan, and implement imaging procedures tailored to patient needs across all age groups.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment regularly to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Transfer images accurately using PACS and teleradiology systems while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
- Document patient information, procedures, and billing details accurately in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Hold an associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and Computed Tomography (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT)).
- Possess an active Radiologic Tech license in California.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Have certification in venipuncture, if administering contrast materials.
- Demonstrate at least two years of recent clinical experience in radiologic imaging.
