CT Technologist
The CT technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography scans with professionalism and attention to patient safety. They ensure accurate imaging while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and patient privacy.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare and maintain sterile supplies and ensure the proper functioning of all imaging tools.
- Verify patient identity and assess their ability to tolerate contrast procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address concerns, ensuring privacy and comfort.
- Maintain accurate medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient histories for reference.
- Assist with routine cleaning, inventory management, and troubleshooting of CT equipment.
Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT RT (R) and RT (CT) certification required.
- Current New Jersey State X-Ray License and BLS certification.
- Completion of a formal Radiography training program from an accredited school or college.
- Prior experience in CT imaging preferred.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and recognize adverse patient reactions.
