Job Summary:
The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. They ensure patient safety, image accuracy, and compliance with departmental protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT imaging equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
- Assess patient condition and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Position patients accurately to capture optimal images for diagnostic interpretation.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety standards.
- Follow infection control protocols and ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Document procedures, patient information, and technical details accurately in accordance with facility policies.
- Hold a minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist in a clinical setting.
- Possess ARRT certification in Computed Tomography.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
- Proficient in operating Siemens CT scanners and able to perform trauma, stroke, cardiovascular, procedural, and routine exams.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
