CT TechnologistDoctors Hospital of Laredo, in Laredo, TX, is a 183-bed acute care facility that offers a range of medical services. Responsible for the operation of diagnostic CT and the performance of all CT procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.

Possess a positive and courteous attitude, and take the initiative to go beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment.Job Functions:Identifies each patient, reviews each patient's chart and previous examinations for consistency (examination ordered/clinical diagnosis), and records pertinent data at all times.Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images, and ensures proper film identification on all imagesMust be able to take call when required.Must perform quality control.Benefit Highlights:Challenging and rewarding work environmentCompetitive compensation & paid time offExcellent benefit packages401(K) with company match and discounted stock planTuition reimbursementCareer development opportunities across UHS and its 300+ locations!HealthStream online learning catalogue with plenty of free CEU coursesQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Education: Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; associate's degree preferred.Previous experience as a CT-Tech in an acute care environment is preferred.Licensure: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Certification by A.R.R.T on Computer Tomography or registry eligible. Certification by Texas Medical Board. BLS Required Skills: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. Knowledge of radiographic examinations as well as procedures that require the use of contrast agents. Knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and radiation safety.
