CT Scan Technologist
The CT Scan Technologist performs advanced computed tomography procedures, producing detailed cross-sectional and 3D images to assist radiologists in diagnosis and therapeutic interventions. They ensure patient safety and optimize image quality through precise technical execution.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex CT imaging procedures following established protocols.
- Review patient clinical history and ensure accurate documentation in PACS and EPIC systems.
- Prepare patients for scans by assessing readiness, administering contrast media, and ensuring proper positioning and safety measures.
- Evaluate radiographs for clarity, proper identification, and diagnostic value using PACS.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and family members regarding procedure details and patient concerns.
- Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program with a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certified by ARRT in Radiography and CT, or eligible to obtain certification within 12 months.
- NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiological positioning, and CT software/hardware.
- One year of CT experience preferred.
