Job Summary:
CT technologists operate specialized imaging equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ internal structures for diagnostic purposes. They interpret physician instructions, manage contrast administration, and ensure optimal image quality while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners and related equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
- Interpret and follow physician’s scanning instructions accurately.
- Prepare patients and position them correctly to obtain precise images.
- Administer contrast materials and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Ensure all images meet diagnostic quality standards by assessing measurements, demographics, and completeness.
- Follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff, especially during imaging of pregnant women.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience performing CT scans preferred.
- Valid MA DPH Radiology License required.
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) certification preferred or must be obtained within two years of hire.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal communication.
