Tech CT

Job Summary:
The CT technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis. The role requires careful patient positioning, image acquisition, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures and ensuring they are comfortable.
• Operate CT imaging equipment accurately and efficiently to capture detailed diagnostic images.
• Follow established safety protocols, including radiation safety measures, to protect patients and staff.
• Review images for quality and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain and properly troubleshoot CT equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Document patient information, procedures, and findings in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Valid VA license or eligible for pending license submission, with license in hand before start date.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required.
• BLS certification must be current.
• Proven experience performing CT scans, with proficiency in image acquisition and processing.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care protocols.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
