The role of a Tech Consultant can provide you with the skills and experience of:Adapting communication style to build trusting relationships with guests and influence tech solutionsRetail business fundamentals, including inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotion strategiesEngaging with Tech and Entertainment products, including video game trends, health tech, tech accessories, books, music and pop culture assortmentAs a Tech Consultant, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:Greet: 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interactionHelp guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experienceEnd every guest transaction with a sincere thank youActively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitudeAdjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experienceBe aware of top sellers and new product trends to help guests find the right technology solutions and accessories to complete their purchaseBe aware of new releases across Music, Books, and Video Games and ensure product is ready for the guest at openCreate an inviting shopping environment by ensuring product is in stock, signed correctly, and that the area is clean and available for guests to shopSupport changes to product assortment and keep Electronics inspiring to guests all year round by maintaining a brand space following new setsBe an advocate for Target owned brands and knowledgeable about their benefits (extended returns, price point, guarantees, etc.)Help the guest get the most out of their new tech purchase by sharing various accessory optionsMaintain up to date knowledge of extended warranty (Allstate and Apple Care+) and buy now, pay later options (Affirm)Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and complianceWork in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possibleSupport guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage lawsAll other duties based on business needsThis may be the right job for you if:You enjoy interacting and helping others – including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work withYou thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to successYou are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times)The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Tech Consultant.
