Job Summary:
The Cath Lab/EP Tech is responsible for assisting in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment. This role involves supporting the clinical team during complex cardiovascular interventions and maintaining technical readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and calibrate all equipment and supplies required for cardiac catheterization and EP procedures.
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular and electrophysiology interventions, ensuring adherence to sterile protocols.
- Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout procedures, providing timely support as needed.
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, equipment logs, and patient data in compliance with hospital policies.
- Ensure all procedures follow safety standards, including infection control and radiation safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient care quality.
- Possess ARRT or CCI RCIS certification or equivalent credentials.
- Hold an active NJ or Compact license as a Cath Lab/EP Technician.
- Demonstrate 1+ year of experience in a cath lab or electrophysiology setting.
- Show proficiency in managing cardiovascular and neuro procedures, including STEMI, NSTEMI, and arrhythmia interventions.
- Maintain current ACLS and BLS certification.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
