Job Summary:
The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures within the catheterization laboratory. They support the clinical team by ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and patient safety during procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology (EP), and peripheral vascular procedures with precision and adherence to protocols.
- Prepare and operate specialized medical equipment used in cardiac and vascular interventions.
- Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Document procedural details accurately in the Meditech system and maintain detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
- Adhere to hospital dress code and infection control protocols at all times.
- Hold current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Possess at least 2 years of experience in a cath lab setting.
- Demonstrate proficiency with cardiac catheterization, EP, and peripheral vascular procedures.
- Be adaptable to fast-paced environments and capable of working independently.
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Have relevant certifications and credentials as required.
