Cardiovascular Intervention Specialist
Seeking an experienced cardiovascular intervention specialist for a Cath Lab/EP position. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants while adhering to safety protocols.
- Interpret EKGs, obtain vital signs, and analyze rhythm, with a focus on sinus node rhythms and pacemaker management.
- Operate GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and other relevant catheterization lab equipment efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and other unit systems, including Pyxis, SBAR, and Merge.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure smooth procedural workflow and patient care.
- Provide coverage within departments and float to sister campuses as needed, based on staffing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or EP setting; first-time travelers not accepted.
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification.
- Proven expertise with GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI ratio/census management.
- Strong ability to interpret EKGs, rhythms, and manage pacemakers; adult to geriatric patient population.
- Must hold GA or Compact RN licensure at the time of submission.
- Experience working in a cardiac catheterization environment with EP procedures is preferred.
