Job Summary:
The Cath Lab/EP Tech is responsible for supporting cardiovascular procedures within the electrophysiology lab, ensuring a sterile environment and assisting the medical team during interventions. This role plays a vital part in patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the Cath Lab/EP suite, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are in place.
- Assist physicians with invasive cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures.
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized imaging and monitoring equipment during procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and ensure their safety throughout interventions.
- Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Document procedural details accurately in accordance with facility policies.
- Current certification or license as a Cardiovascular Tech or equivalent.
- Proven experience supporting Cath Lab or EP procedures.
- Knowledge of electrophysiology imaging, diagnostic, and therapeutic equipment.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
