n Job Summary:n
n Performs and assists with Cardiac and Vascular Radiographic examinations, specializing in invasive procedures within the cardiovascular lab. Operates complex imaging equipment to support diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, ensuring precise patient positioning and image quality. Provides clinical care with a focus on safety, efficiency, and technical excellence.n
n Responsibilities:n
n- n Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during procedures such as cardiac catheterizations.n
- n Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures, including angiograms and other cardiovascular studies.n
- n Position and immobilize patients appropriately, using braces or supports, following established protocols.n
- n Educate and instruct patients to prepare them for examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.n
- n Maintain and troubleshoot sophisticated imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.n
- n Train and mentor staff on technical procedures and best practices, contributing to team development and quality improvement.n
n Qualifications:n
n- n Hold an associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience; a bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology is preferred.n
- n Possess a minimum of three years of recent technical experience in cardiovascular radiography.n
- n Certification in radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required; state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) is preferred.n
- n Maintain current CPR or BLS certification.n
- n Demonstrate proficiency in fluoroscopy (FLUORO) and experience with specialized cardiovascular procedures.n
- n Prior experience as a Special Procedures Technologist is highly preferred.n
